As an engineer and former federal regulatory officer, I am committed to product safety. My career at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission spanned some 27 years, primarily in engineering and then in regulatory enforcement and recalls. Following retirement from the government, I spent 14 years in the successful consulting partnership Marchica & Deppa. With the retirement of that partnership, I have continued to provide consulting services through Product Safety Analysis, LLC, in the field of consumer product safety, focusing on management issues, instruction and guidance, and litigation support.

Why PSA?

Product Safety Analysis, LLC, works with manufacturers, importers, distributors, and retailers, as well as trade associations and law firms that represent all those groups.  I have broad experience in the development and enforcement of federal product safety regulations, voluntary standards development, product testing and analysis (including diagnostic failure analysis), and especially the policies, procedures, and day-to-day operations of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.  My consulting work has provided extensive experience in litigation support to responsible corporate citizens that have complied with regulations or have participated in the development of voluntary standards but who nevertheless have been sued.
